On the 8 April 2020, the President of Cyprus announced that the measures announced previously to restrict the spread of coronavirus on the island were to be extended until April 30, in line with the decisions adopted by the the Council of Ministers.
With regards to financial measures, President Anastasiades said that Council of Ministers’ decided to extend state support for employees and businesses until 12 June 2020. He also stated that employees and businesses will continue to receive support for a further four months following this period. We will update once further details and clarification is received regarding this extension.
